Phase 1 of Fifth St. construction in Marquette to begin June 18th

MARQUETTE — Fifth Street between Spring Street and Baraga Avenue will be closed to through traffic for Phase 1 of reconstruction work beginning Monday, June 18th at 7:00 a.m.

This is the first of two phases. This first phase is expected to last three weeks. The Fifth Street work will detour traffic to Spring Street, Altamont Street and Baraga Avenue.

The Fifth Street entrance to City Hall will be closed. Traffic can access City Hall by using the Baraga Avenue entrance.

There will be a temporary set up to allow two-way traffic. The public is asked to used caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction, detours and advisory signing.
