Business solutions for hiring and keeping employees

ISHPEMING — The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce held an event today at River Rock Lanes & Banquet Center that went over rehabilitation services for workers in Michigan.

The speaker from the Michigan Rehabilitation service spoke about all the services that they provide to the public. They provide specialized employment and education-related services and training to help adults with disabilities in finding and keeping employment.

“So this is really important for our area because not a lot of business owners and employees know about all of these different resources that they have as businesses and for their employees,” said, Communications and Marketing Assistant for the GINCC, Gabi Kautz. “So it is a win-win for both the business and the employees themselves who have the disabilities. This is so they can learn how to maintain their employees without having to retrain and deal with the turnover all the time.”

The more awareness and information given to businesses about the services that can help rehabilitate employees with disabilities will help small town communities grow and strengthen.
