Three arrested following investigation into Sault Ste. Marie altercation
SAULT STE. MARIE — Three people were arrested following police investigation into an altercation at a Sault Ste. Marie residence.
At approximately 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Department responded to the Holiday Gas Station on W Portage Avenue for a suspicious situation. Officers spoke with an individual who stated that he was involved in an altercation at a different location in which gun shots were fired.
Further investigation into the incident led to the execution of search warrants at two separate residences in Sault Ste. Marie. A sawed off shotgun and a semi-automatic handgun were recovered, along with evidence that both firearms were discharged into the floor of one of the residences.
