Walk the ‘Red Carpet’ for Spread Goodness Day

ISHPEMING — Spread Goodness Day is Friday, March 9th and NORTHIRON Church in Ishpeming is hosting a night of elegance and entertainment.
The 2018 Women’s Red Carpet Event is for women and girls ages 12 and up. All of the proceeds from the event will help the church’s mission to Nepal to build a well in a remote village. Some of the funds will also be donated to local charities, which will be announced at the event.
Women who give the both the local community and the church will be honored, but everyone will be treated as if they are a celebrity.
“When you walk in, you will be greeted by several handsome men in suits and they do red-carpet interviews, they ask you what you’re wearing, kind of like the Oscars. They just fun it up,” said Jennifer Broberg, an organizer of the event.
There is no dress code, but dressing up is encouraged. There will also be appetizers and desserts served, as well as entertainment such as skits and lip-syncing.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $25. The Red Carpet event begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m.
