Minor injuries sustained in rollover accident on US-41
MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP — One person sustained minor injuries from a rollover accident in Marquette Township Wednesday morning.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single-vehicle personal traffic accident on US-41 near Brickyard Road at 8:35 a.m. Eighteen year-old Lillee Martin of Ishpeming was traveling east on US-41 when she lost control of her 2008 Chrysler Sebring on the slushy roadway.
Her vehicle entered the snow-filled ditch on the south side of US-41 and rolled over onto its roof. According to the accident report, Martin was marked as fault for the accident for driving too fast for conditions. She sought her own medical treatment at UPHS – Marquette for minor injuries.
Marquette Township Fire and Rescue assisted on the scene.
