HOUGHTON — Suspicious reports of a residence in Houghton led to a meth lab bust yesterday. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team responded to the residence of 16187 Laminga Road in Houghton on the call of suspect behavior of two occupants at the home.

Officials reported finding meth components used in the manufacture of the illegal substance and seized them. A 21 -year – old woman was arrested for violation of her probation after testing positive for five different drugs. A 23- year-old male was also arrested on three counts of felony warrant for distribution of marijuana earlier in the year.

The investigation is ongoing with additional charges expected.
