Body of missing woman found in pond

FELCH TOWNSHIP — Investigators say that there are no signs of foul play in the death of a woman reported missing on December 11th.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a missing person at a residence in Felch Township. The missing person was identified at 65 year-old Debra Lee Deacon.

The investigation led to the discovery of Deacon’s body in a nearby pond. The investigators found no signs of foul play.

Troopers were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department and the Norway Fire Department Search and Rescue.
