A Hand ‘UP’ for the Olsen Family

GWINN — The Olsen Family has been giving back to the Gwinn community and its youth for years. Now, it’s time for the community to do the same.

Ben Olsen and Shelle Olsen have coached basketball for several years for Gwinn High School girls.

Due to recent events the family has lost a lot and could use any help they can get.

“They do a lot for the kids in the area. They open up gyms. They do open gym programs. If the girls call up on a Sunday and say, ‘Hey, we’d like to shoot around in the gym or go work on stuff,’ he opens the gym for them. I mean it’s all their time. He is a paid coach, but he’s not paid for what he’s doing. What he’s doing is way beyond the monetary,” said Bob Taylor, community member and ‘Arctic Cat’ dealer.

This is not considered a hand out but rather a hand up, so if you can, donate any amount to any Honor Credit Union in the name of The Ben Olsen Family.
