Former NMU student sentenced on LSD charges
MARQUETTE — A former Northern Michigan University student who was acted aggressively towards police officers while under the influence of drugs was sentenced today in Marquette County Circuit Court.
Ninteen year-old Allen Teppo of Newberry will serve 53 days in jail with credit for time served. Teppo was also sentenced to 18 months of probation under Holmes Youthful Trainee Act and will pay restitution costs.
He was originally arrested in September after he became uncontrollable with extreme violent behavior after taking LSD “acid.” According to court documents, after consuming the drugs, Teppo was about to attempt to jump out of a window and ended up with 35 stitches.
