Investigation leads to discovery of meth-related components
ISHPEMING — Detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the Ishpeming City Police Department discovered meth-related components in a residence Wednesday.
Officers from the City of Ishpeming were conducting an investigation on a residence on Pine Street in Ishpeming when they observed components used to manufacture meth. Detectives from UPSET, who are certified hazmat responders, removed the components.
One suspect at the residence was questioned at the scene by officers. No arrests have been made at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing. Ishpeming City Fire Department assisted at the scene.
