ISHPEMING — Moose are on the loose all around us, so the Department of Natural Resources has created a forum to present information so humans can keep a healthy truce.

The DNR has held several public forums about wildlife, and this forum will be discussing moose populations, disease and environmental concerns.

The forum will be held October nineteenth at the River Rocks Lanes and Banquet Center in Ishpeming from six until nine P.M.

“So that’s a great opportunity for people to come and listen to one of the most widely–known experts on moose to come here and discuss moose populations and also some of the environmental and disease challenges that their populations might face,” said John Pepin, DNR.

The session will include a discussion led by internationally–recognized moose expert, Vince Crichton, of Manitoba.
