CHAMPION TOWNSHIP — Distracted driving was a factor in a rollover accident this afternoon in Champion Township.

A mother and her daughter were driving westbound on U.S. 41 when a vehicle in front of them slowed down to turn left onto County Road 478. In a last minute attempt to avoid the slowing vehicle, the driver of the truck swerved to the right, and ended up rolling over in the ditch on the side of the road.

The two were removed from the vehicle in stable condition. No serious injuries were reported, and the mother and daughter sought their own treatment.
