Man charged with embezzlement from a vulnerable adult enters plea
MARQUETTE — A Gwinn man arrested last month on three felony counts has pleaded guilty to one of the charges.
Gary Lawrence Vadnais, 49, pleaded guilty to embezzlement from a vulnerable adult, $1,000 or more but less than $20,000. That charge comes with a maximum penalty of up to five-years in prison.
The Forsyth Township Police Department says Vadnais had been the focus of a several month long investigation into the misappropriation of funds from a vulnerable adult. He had been a court-appointed guardian for the victim.
Vadnais will be sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court November 3rd.
