More charges added against kidnapping defendant
MARQUETTE — More charges have been filed against a man who stands accused to kidnapping a woman and holding her for five days against her will.
In addition to his kidnapping charge, Eric Ruska, 37, now faces three additional counts of aggravated sexual abuse. The maximum penalty for those charges is life in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
According to court documents, Ruska engaged in a sexual act by use of force against his victim. Ruska was arrested last month after holding his victim against her will and repeatedly assaulting her.
His pretrial conference, which was set for Monday, has been pushed back to Monday, August 28th in United States District Court.
