Subjects arrested for multiple vehicle larcenies

MARQUETTE — Two male subjects in possession of stolen items were arrested.

On Sunday around 6:00 A.M., the Marquette Police Department was dispatched to the 1500 block of Fair Avenue on a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed that numerous other larcenies had occurred in the area.

Officials identified two male subjects who were allegedly involved in the incidents, both subjects were in possession of numerous items that were reported stolen. Tyler Scott Johnson, 23, of Ishpeming was arrested for larceny from a motor vehicle and a probation violation. Johnson was lodged at the Marquette County Jail.

The other subject who was allegedly involved in the incidents is a 16-year old male juvenile from Ishpeming. The Marquette Police Department is asking that if you are a victim of a larceny to report the incident. Residents are reminded to lock up their personal belongings and vehicle when not attended.
