One injured after vehicle strikes motorcycle
MARQUETTE — A Gwinn woman was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle she was riding on was struck by another vehicle.
The accident happened around 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of Genesee Street and Champion Street. Terry and Lorrie Ghiringhelli of Gwinn were driving their motorcycle eastbound on Genesee, when they were struck by a vehicle driven by Betty Chudy of Marquette.
Chudy was turning eastbound onto Genesee from Champion. Lorrie Ghiringhelli was transported to UP Health System – Marquette for treatment on non-life threatening injuries.
Chudy was cited for failing to yield at the intersection.
