Police investigating attempted child abduction
ENGADINE — The Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted abduction that occurred in Engadine.
A man in a dark colored SUV approached a 12-year-old boy Monday afternoon and asked him for help finding his dog. The man tried to convince the child to get into his vehicle.
During the encounter, the boy ran home and told his mother what happened, who called 911.
The man is described as a white male between 45-60 years-old with black and gray hair and a scar on his face. His vehicle is believed to be a black or dark gray 1997 to 2003 Dodge Durango with running boards.
