Sadowski facing federal gun charge

MARQUETTE — After a jury found him not guilty during his re-trial late Friday afternoon, Jason Sadowski was immediately arrested on a federal gun charge.

According to the criminal complaint, Sadowski, a convicted felon, was knowingly in possession of a 9mm handgun when he was arrested in July of 2013 for the alleged crimes of kidnapping and torture he was found not guilty of. In previous testimony, Sadowski said the gun belonged to his ex-wife but the weapon was under his control.

Sadowski made his first appearance in U.S. District Court Sunday afternoon. A preliminary exam is set for Friday morning.
