Super One closing one store, remodeling another
DULUTH, MN — Miner’s Incorporated has announced the closure of its Super One Foods grocery store in Escanaba.
The store will close in early May. Super One Foods has been in Escanaba for 28 years.
Around 75 employees will be laid off. Employees displaced by the store’s closure will be offered jobs at other Super One locations where possible.
Those who cannot find work will be provided with job placement assistance.
Miner’s Inc. also announced its Super One Foods grocery store in Marquette is undergoing a remodel. The remodel project will feature 52,000 square feet of new store fixtures, food cases, hot food cases, lighting and decor.
An expanded signature deli, fresh salad bar and enhanced liquor department will be among the major changes to the store.

Miner’s Inc. owns and operates 38 retail grocery stores in three states.
