Icy roads cited as cause of one-vehicle accident
SANDS TOWNSHIP — The Marquette County Sheriff’s office is reminding drivers to be cautious of changing road conditions after a one-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Sands Township.
Just before 8:00 a.m., a deputy with the sheriff’s office came across the accident on M-553 at Glasses Curve. A 2005 Buick driven by Payton Lebombard, 21, of Marquette, was driving south when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy roads.
His vehicle slid into a damaged guard rail. The Buick came to a rest on top of the guard rail.
Lebombard was not injured in the accident. A tow-truck removed the vehicle from the guard rail.
No citations were issued.
