Photo of police car parked in handicap spot goes viral
MARQUETTE — Marquette County residents are responding to a police car parked in handicap parking lot space.
On Thursday at Bothwell Middle School, a passerby shared a photo on social media saying “As a person with a “reserved parking” permit/wheelchair on my plates, this really irritates me. I received a $100 ticket a couple years ago for parking in a handicapped spot in Marquette, because I forgot to hang my placard. I didn’t see one in this car either.”

ABC 10 reached out to the Marquette City Police Department and according to Captain Mike Laurila, the officer was on assignment during the time the photo was taken, the department is aware of the situation and it is being handled internally.
