U.P. man arrested on five counts of felony drug distribution
HOUGHTON COUNTY — A Houghton County man was arrested after an investigation found prescription pills, suspected heroin, and crystal meth in his residence.
On February 7th, detectives of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team investigated the residence of a 24-year old Houghton County man. The suspect was arrested at his home on the sixty block of Stanton Ave. After the detectives executed a search warrant, prescription pills, suspected heroin, and crystal meth were found.
The suspect is being lodged at the Houghton County Jail on five counts of felony drugs distribution. The incident remains under investigation. UPSET was assisted on the scene by the Michigan State Police Calumet Post, Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, Keweenaw Bay Tribal Community K-9 unit, Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team, and Hancock City Police Department.
