No one injured in late night structure fire
MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Fire Department is investigating a fire that occurred late Saturday night.
At 11:51 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to 250 W. Ridge Street for a structure fire. When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they saw light smoke coming from the second floor and attic.
Everyone that was in the residence was able to get out. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters found a fire in an interior wall. It was extinguished.
The second floor received some smoke damage and minor heat damage. One resident inside the home was housed at the Ramada Inn using money from the Pigs and Heat fund.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
