Doctor accused of falsifying records receives delay of sentence
MARQUETTE — A doctor who pleaded guilty to falsifying information on a medical chart was sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday morning.
Larry Carlyon, 65, was given a delay of sentence. The case will be back in court in about nine months to see if he is in compliance with his probation.
As a part of his plea agreement, Carlyon has surrendered his medical license, but as long as he complies with the terms of his probation, there will be no conviction on his record. He was also ordered to pay $17,500 in restitution.
Four counts of delivery or manufacture Suboxone were dismissed as well.
Carlyon pleaded guilty to the single charge back in June in District Court but the presiding judge did not agree with the sentencing stipulations made in the original agreement.
His sentencing stems from an UPSET investigation in which detectives raided Carlyon’s office back in 2015.
