Home invasion suspect headed to trial

ESCANABA — A trial date has been scheduled for an Escanaba man charged with five felony counts, including second-degree home invasion.

Harley Finnerty, 25, will stand trial on Feb. 2-3, 2017 in Delta County Circuit Court. In the early morning hours of June 11, 2016, officers with Escanaba Public Safety were dispatched to the 1400 block of North 20th St. for a home invasion.

Shortly after they arrived on scene, officers found the suspect searching through a vehicle. As part of their investigation, police also found several other vehicles were broken into with property missing.
