Assault and meth suspects arraigned
MARQUETTE — Two people arrested after an assault investigation led to the discovery of a meth lab in Big Bay last week have been arraigned in Marquette County District Court.
Taylor Trezona, 21 of Big Bay, is charged with possession of meth and possession of less than 25 grams of a narcotic. Trezona’s bond was set at ten percent of $20,000. Holly Bates, 31 of downstate Muskegon, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and retail fraud. Her bond was set at ten percent of $12,500.
The two were arrested Thursday after Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to the Perkins Park Campground to investigate an assault at a nearby store. Upon arrival, they located Bates at a campsite and also found a one pot meth lab in a pop-up camper found there.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in District Court for preliminary exams on August 30th.
