Driver rolls car while going too fast for conditions
ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP — Police say speed was a factor in a one-vehicle rollover accident in Ishpeming Township Wednesday night.
Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies say the incident occurred on Deer Lake Road just north of Northridge Lane around 11:00 p.m. Thirty-five-year old Christopher Sgouris of Ishpeming lost control of his car on the black ice-covered roadway while headed northbound. As a result, his vehicle spun around and caught the soft right shoulder, subsequently overturning in the ditch.
No injuries were reported in the accident. Sgouris was the lone occupant of the car. Police say he was found to be at fault for driving too fast for conditions.
