Detroit Red Wings re-sign former NMU Wildcat
After two years in the Red Wings organization, Detroit decides they will bring back a former NMU Wildcat.
Today, the Red Wings announced that they have re-signed goaltender Jared Coreau to a one-year deal. Detroit signed Coreau as a free agent back in 2013 and has split his playing time between the AHL’s Grand Rapids and the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
His second year was much better than his first, as he nailed down a 16-8-1 record during the 2014-15 season, with a 2.2 goals against average and a 93% save percentage, ranking 9th and 4th respectively in the league among goalies who played more than 1400 minutes.
