White Pine meth suspect has trial canceled
BESSEMER — An Ontonagon County man who was scheduled to go to trial in Gogebic County this week will instead avoid his day in court.
Jeremy Rollins, 37, of White Pine changed his plea to guilty on a charge of operating and maintaining a meth lab. As a result, his trial has been cancelled. There’s no word yet on when he’ll be sentenced.
Two others moving through the Gogebic County Circuit Court system have had sentencing dates set for their involvement in an unrelated meth case.
Mark Overton, 35, copped a plea late last year and will be sentenced on March 3rd. He was facing five counts, including possession of meth and maintaining a drug house.
His co-defendant, Adam Stone, 33, also pled guilty and will be sentenced February 27th.
They will join the final co-defendant, Carly Pestka, 22, whose sentencing date had previously been set for March 3rd.
