UPDATE — Little Lake family left homeless after fire

UPDATE — Tuesday, 5:10 p.m.

A family is homeless tonight after their home was destroyed by a fire in Marquette County.

The fire happened shortly after 8 p.m. last night on North Central Street in Little Lake, just north of M-35. The house was fully engulfed.

The Forsyth Township Police Department was called to the scene again this morning after the blaze re–ignited.

Little Lake residents tell ABC 10 the parents are staying at the Gwinn Modeltowne Inn while their children are staying with grandparents.

The house is a total loss and no information is available on the cause of the fire at this time.

LITTLE LAKE — Firefighters are still at the scene of a structure fire in southern Marquette County that broke out earlier tonight.

The blaze started on North Central Street in Little Lake, just north of M–35, shortly after 8 tonight. The building was fully engulfed in flames.

The Forsyth Township Fire Department and several other agencies have responded. There’s no word on any injuries so far.
