Free entrance to state parks this Saturday

LANSING — The DNR is offering free vehicle admission to state parks Saturday in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Any motor vehicle entering a Michigan state park, boat launch or state forest campground will not need a Recreation Passport to enter.  License requirements are also waived for all off-road vehicles Saturday and Sunday.

National Public Lands Day also coincides with Michigan Trails Week, which was designated by Governor Rick Snyder to highlight the state’s trails and waterways.
