Gov. Whitmer Announces State Will Open To Full Capacity On June 22
The time has finally come Michigan!
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced that starting June 22, the state will open up fully.
The capacity for indoor and outdoor venues will increase to 100% and citizens will no longer be required to wear masks.
Covid–19 case rates, percent positivity and hospitalizations over the past several weeks have declined.
Nearly, 60% of Michigan citizens age 16 and older have received their first vaccine dose, Whitmer said.
Some orders will remain in effect to protect vulnerable populations in corrections, long–term–care and agricultural settings.
Guidance for children and school staff will be released next week.
