Arrest made after School goes on lock down for possible threat in Menominee

MENOMINEE — Earlier in the morning of September 25, 2019, Blesch Intermediate School in Menominee, was put on yellow alert for a possible threat which had students and staff sheltering in place.

Law enforcement personnel responded and found the site was secure. Upon further investigation a 17-year-old male was taken into custody for making a threat.

However,the school, students, staff and public were never in imminent danger. At this time the situation is still under investigation and it is believed by the Menominee City Police Department that no one else is involved.
