MARQUETTE–NMU Public Safety and Police Services is investigating a situation of illegal use of LSD “acid” which resulted in the hospitalization and ultimately an arrest of a student.
The “acid” the student took, caused the student to become uncontrollable with extreme violent behavior.
The university warned students in an email to be very cautious of their surroundings and anything that someone may give them to either eat or drink.
The name of the student is not being released at this time.
Anyone having any information on the distribution of illegal drugs is asked to contact the Public Safety and Police Services Department at (906) 227-2151.
