Spaulding man dead after two-vehicle accident
HARRIS TOWNSHIP — A Spaulding man is dead following a two-vehicle accident in Menominee County Thursday night.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post say the incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on US-2 and US-41 west of the 557 intersection in Harris Township.
Wayne Miller, 84, of Spaulding, was driving westbound on the highway when he struck the the rear of a tractor trailer that was making a left turn onto a private road.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi driver, a 52-year old Wilson, Michigan man, was not injured.
Troopers are currently investigating the incident but have ruled out alcohol as a factor. If you were a witness to the crash, please contact the Gladstone Post at (906) 428-4412.
