One injured after two car collision
MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle collision shortly after 11:00 p.m. last night at the intersection of US–forty one and County Road HQ in front of Walmart.
Deputies say eighteen year old Patrick Hamblin disregarded a flashing red light while crossing US 41 West in his mini–van and struck the eastbound car driven by eighteen year old Vidhya Nadarajan from Marquette.
Each vehicle contained one passenger. The passenger in the mini–van was taken to UP Health System – Marquette for non–life threatening injuries
Hamblin was cited for disregarding the light.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police and Marquette Township Fire/EMS.
