This Friday and Saturday Michigan Technological University will host the University’s Health Research Insitute’s 2nd Annual Upper Peninsula Medical Conference. The two days will bring together leaders, experts, and medical professionals together to discuss topics centered around rural healthcare in the Upper Peninsula.
I would say with Michigan Tech’s positioning and growth in the health world. We’re super excited to bring these community healthcare providers together. And kind of show them what we’re doing at Tech, as well as other researchers around the U.P. from Northern (Michigan University) and Lake Superior State, and others. we’re excited to bring all of the minds under one roof and discuss these current issues and hot topics in healthcare.” Erich Petushek, Associate Professor, Michigan Technological University
Friday and Saturday will each see various keynote speakers present on healthcare topics as they relate to rural communities. Some of the conference’s guest speakers include medical professors from Michigan State University, and Northwestern University, and leadership with local medical care providers. Friday night will also share student and faculty research during the evening’s poster session. Go online to ABC 10 up dot com to find more information about the Upper Peninsula Medical Conference.
