New Maternal-Fetal Medicine Doctor at UPHS- Marquette
UPHS- Marquette is pleased to welcome a new Maternal- Fetal Doctor at their facility.
Dr. Jenna Racine is board certified in gynecology, obstetrics, and maternal – fetal medicine, meaning she will be able to provide specialized care to upper peninsula residents who have high risk pregnancies.
She completed her doctorate in medicine from the Michigan State University: College of Human Medicine, where she spent two years at UPHS – Marquette. Later on, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Connecticut: School of Medicine. She then completed her maternal fetal fellowship at the University of Wisconsin: School of Medicine and Public Health.
When asked about being back in the community she was raised in, the Ishpeming native stated, quote, “it’s the best place to raise a family, and being close to family has become a top priority for me. When the opportunity arose to work as a maternal–fetal medicine specialist in the U.P., I knew I had to take the job.”
Dr. Racine and her team can see patients for any number of conditions that contribute to high-risk pregnancy. She and her team have the technology to give high level ultrasounds with same day results, that provide more detail than regular ultrasounds, and allows for more accurate diagnosis and management of a high-risk pregnancy.
A referral from a primary care or OB/GYN provider is required to set up an appointment with Dr. Racine. To learn more about the specialty clinic and women’s health services, visit: UP Health System
