Driver Under The Influence Crashes Car On US-41
Negaunee, Mich – A car crash in Negaunee on Tuesday sent one man to jail and three other people to the hospital.
The driver of a red 2008 Chevy Cobalt lost control of his vehicle on US 41 West in Negaunee after snorting Nitrous Oxide.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office said the driver lost consciousness.
His car crossed into the median and collided with a yield sign before ending up in the eastbound lane of the highway.
The driver then woke up and swerved back into the median.
The 32–year–old man was arrested for operating under the influence and other drug charges.
The passengers in the car included a 27–year–old woman, a 10–year–old girl and 8–year–old boy.
They were taken to UPHS Marquette for non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash.
