APPLETON—The Keweenaw’s Shottle Bop Guts Frisbee team shared first place with Lansing’s Bahama Mamas at the Wisconsin State Frisbee Championships this past weekend.
The teams split two games before the tournament was ended because of darkness.
The Guys team with players from Wisconsin and Michigan finished third in the nine-team tournament. The Bahamas Mamas featured players from the Boomtown Saints, including Ryan Scott,
who was named tournament MVP.
Eleven first-time players were on rosters for the tournament.
Next up for Guts Frisbee players and fans is the 63rd Annual Coca-Cola International Frisbee Tournament at the Driving Park in Hancock on July 10 and 11. Practices are held Wednesdays at 6:00
p.m. and Saturdays at noon on Hancock’s Quincy Green (in front of the old high school).
