Baraga Area Schools close Monday after confirmed COVID case

BARAGA — Baraga Area Schools closed Monday, as a result of a positive COVID–19 case.

In response to the closure, the schools said, “We are working closely with the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department to identify exposures and prevent further cases. The school feels it is in the best interest and safety of the staff, students, and community to close the building to students September 21, 2020, in order to allow for thorough contact tracing.”
