Dickinson County Healthcare System COVID-19 patient dies

DICKINSON COUNTY — The Dickinson County Healthcare System is reporting that a patient who returned a presumptive positive COVID-19 test result has died as a result of complications from the virus. According to DCH, the patient had pre-existing medical issues that were compromised by COVID-19.

The DCH reports that every precautionary protocol was followed for the duration of the patient’s care. DCH staff is fully equipped to handle any new cases of COVID-19. In a statement released earlier today, the DCH assures that it is safe for the community to come to them for any healthcare needs.
