Woman rescued from Gladstone house fire

GLADSTONE — On February 2nd, 2020, at 4:45pm the Gladstone Public Safety and Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a reported house fire with a woman inside.

Upon arrival at 112 Cliffs Drive, officers entered the residence and were able to bring the 80-year-old female safely outside. She was transported by Rampart EMS to St. Francis Hospital, but later she was air lifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

The fire was contained and extinguished quickly. However, the residence sustained heavy interior fire and smoke damage, and the incident remains under investigation.

Gladstone Public Safety and Volunteer Fire Department were assisted by Escanaba Township Volunteer Fire Department, Rampart EMS, and Delta County Central Dispatch.
