Two arrested for involvement in crystal meth distribution in Houghton County
HOUGHTON COUNTY — On January 10, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested two individuals from Houghton County involved in the distribution of crystal meth.
After a two month investigation involving the purchase of methamphetamine from two suspects, UPSET detectives along with the Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team executed a search warrant on 6th Avenue in Trimountain. During the search, detectives seized additional meth, prescription drugs, money, and other evidence of drug distribution from the residence.
A 36-year-old male and a 34-year-old female were arrested on charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine and lodged and the Houghton County Jail. Their names are being withheld pending arraignment. The investigation remains ongoing.
UPSET was assisted by the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department, the Houghton City Police Department, and the Michigan State Police Calumet Post K-9 Unit.
