Two men arraigned on drug charges related to 2017 overdose death

IRON RIVER — Two Wisconsin men were recently arraigned in Iron County, MI., in the 95B District Court, on multiple counts of controlled substance related charges following a lengthy investigation by the Iron River Police Department regarding an overdose death that occurred in March of 2017 within the City of Iron River.  

Davin Veir Washington, age 28, of Milwaukee was arraigned on the charges of: Delivery Of Controlled Substance Causing Death, punishable by life or any term of years in prison; Conspiracy To Commit Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine Heroin Or Another Narcotic) Less than 50 grams, a 20 year felony; Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine, Heroin Or Another Narcotic) less than 50 grams, a 20 year felony; and Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine, Heroin Or Another Narcotic) Less than 50 Grams, also a 20 year felony and Habitual Offender Third offense. 

Kenneth M. Greer, age 36, was arraigned on the charges of: Delivery Of Controlled Substance Causing Death, punishable by life or any term of years in prison; Conspiracy To Commit Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine Heroin Or Another Narcotic) Less than 50 grams, a 20 year felony; Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine, Heroin Or Another Narcotic) less than 50 grams, a 20 year felony; Controlled Substance-Delivery/Manufacture (Cocaine, Heroin or Another Narcotic) Less than 50 Grams, also a 20 year felony; and Habitual Offender Fourth Offense. 

Washington was incarcerated with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections from drug related charges in Marinette County, WI, and was recently brought back to Iron County where he is currently lodged.  Greer is currently lodged with the Michigan Department of Corrections on drug related charges which occurred in Dickinson County in March of 2017 and will be brought back to Iron County for his court proceedings.
