Fire contained on Birch Street in Kingsford

KINGSFORD — On Monday, October 21, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Kingsford Public Safety was dispatched via 911 to a structure fire at 133 Birch Street.

Officers arrived on scene at approximately 4:54 a.m. and started fire suppression activities. The officers were able to contain the fire to an unattached garage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
