Ishpeming City Police still searching for Santa’s Workshop arsonist
ISHPEMING — Ishpeming City Police Department is currently searching for the individual who burned down Santa’s Workshop this past weekend.
The crime occurred on the morning of Saturday August 24th. They also believe the same person caused damage to a trucks window. After getting the call at 7AM that morning, police arrived to the scene but nothing was left of the workshop. The city police have been investigating both criminal acts but have yet to find who’s responsible.
“The community leaders said they will all rebuild it and there is a go fund me page that just got started,” said Steve Snowaert, Police Chief of Ishpeming City Police Department. “There is also through the community events accepting donations. I already talked to the main person who built it the first time and they got 80 days to rebuild. They’re going to make it better than it was.”
According to police, the total damage of the workshop is around $10,000.
While the Police Department currently have no leads, they’re looking to the community for as much help as possible. If you have any information that can help solve the crime, contact the Ishpeming city police department 906-486-4416 or click here to message them on Facebook.
