Iron River man arrested on numerous drug charges
IRON COUNTY — Detectives from UPSET conducted an investigation into the Delivery of Heroin and Methamphetamine in the Iron River. The investigation has been ongoing over the past several months.
A 36-year-old Iron River man was arrested on Tuesday, September 18. The identity of the man is being withheld until he is arraigned.
A related search warrant was also served by UPSET in Bates Township in Iron County on Tuesday. This led to the seizure of crystal methamphetamine, a suspected drug cutting agent, digital scales, suspected steroids, and suspected prescription pills.
The suspect was lodged in the Iron County Jail on charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine (2 counts), Delivery of Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Drug House.
UPSET was assisted in the investigation by Michigan State Police – Iron Mountain Post/K9, MSP – 8th District Hometown Security Team, and the Iron County Sheriff’s Department. The investigation continues and additional arrests are possible.
