Drug dealer arrested in Iron County
IRON COUNTY — On September 18, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) conducted an investigation into the Delivery of Heroin and Methamphetamine in Iron River.
This investigation has been ongoing and resulted in the arrest of a 36-year-old Iron River man on September 18, 2018.
The identity of the man is being held until his arraignment at a later date.
UPSET had also served a related search warrant in Bates Township, Iron County on the evening of September 18.
The search warrant led to the seizure of crystal methamphetamine, a suspected drug cutting agent, digital scales, suspected steroids, and suspected prescription pills.
The suspect was held in Iron County Jail on charges of Delivery of Methamphetamine (2 counts), Delivery of Heroin, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, and Maintaining a Drug House.
The investigation continues and additional arrests are possible.
UPSET was assisted in the investigation by MSP Iron Mountain Post / K9, MSP- 8th District Hometown Security Team, and the Iron County Sheriff’s Department.
