UPDATE: Fatal UTV accident leaving one dead

MARINETTE COUNTY — The Marinette County Sheriff reported that at 3:46 p.m. on Monday, they had received a call of a side by side U.T.V. crash with serious injuries.

The accident happened on a trail that runs parallel between two highways in Marinette County in the Town of Silver Cliff. The U.T.V. which was going eastbound had flipped over after going over a driveway.

The driver who was identified as 22 year old male, Logan Widucki of Crandon, WI. He was ejected from the machine in the accident and received head and other injuries. The driver had no helmet and or was also not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.

The driver was later pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger survived with no injuries. The passenger in the accident was reported to have been wearing a seat belt.
